A meteorological journal of the weather in Newbury taken from the barometer & thermometer, 1762.

The only extant manuscript of John Lowell, first minister of Newburyport, is his meteorological journal for 1762. The journal contains temperatures and barometric pressure readings for that year, as well as notes on the weather and natural occurrances for 1757-1762. Prefatory inscriptions reveal that Lowell used a type of thermometer developed by Francis Hauksbee in England.
